Doctor’s Comment:
Under the microscope, a good healthy skin is where the cells of Epidermis and Stratum Corneum align uniformly layer by layer without breaks. AHA and PHA can help align these cells in a more perfect formation, while AHA can removes pore plugs such as blackheads. It is highly effective as an acne skin care product. It is good for acne, rough skin, dry skin and back skin with lots of tiny bumps known as ‘Millia’ (by definition they are not exactly millia). Most people tolerate PHAs, while some people cannot tolerate AHAs. |

Advanced Comments:
This is one of the stronger AHA preparation in gel form, on the other hand the pH is higher so it is less acidic. As it is in gel, it stays on the skin longer compared to using an AHA wash. It is one of the stronger preparations available for those who can tolerate it. When tolerated, it has a myriad of benefits for the oily based skin type.
There may be mild ‘stinging’ sensation on first use. Can try milder form of AHA or PHA first. Recommend testing on a patch of the skin on the face one day before full use. |
