Doctor’s Comment:
Under the microscope, a good healthy skin is where the cells of Epidermis and Stratum Corneum align uniformly layer by layer without breaks. PHA can helps align these cells in a more perfect formation, while AHA can removes pore plugs such as blackheads. Long term use is effective for acne skin. This is one of the stronger 2nd + 3rd generation fruit acid wash and is highly effective. Most people tolerate PHAs, while some people cannot tolerate AHAs. |

Advanced Comments:
Foaming preparations can deliver more on the skin, due to its increased surface area. Second generation fruit acids (AHA) with a lower pH (ie. stronger) is harder to find over the counter, but very effective, if its initial side effect of irritation can be tolerated. They are great for acne prone skin, or for those who wish for a smoother skin texture.
For very oily or acne prone skin, a non-soap cleanser may not be able to remove all the impurities on the skin, and using a gentle cleansing milk before using this product can be considered. There may be a mild ‘stinging’ sensation on first use. Recommend testing on a patch of the skin on the face one day before full use. |
