Doctor’s Comment:
Under the microscope, a good healthy skin is where the cells of the Epidermis and Stratum Corneum align uniformly layer by layer without breaks. In Atopic people, there is a lost of alignment or thinning of cells, producing the flaky appearance. PHA can help align these cells in a more perfect formation, while other moisturizing substances can help KEEP these cells in alignment. Most people tolerates PHAs, while some people cannot tolerate AHAs. |

Advanced Comments:
3rd generation fruit acids PHA such as Gluconolactone and Lactobionic Acid has the advantage of 2nd generation fruit acids but less irritation; this includes better skin texture and moisturization. At 12% PHA, this is one of the stronger and more effective moisturizing cream. To reduce side effects, this is being made less ‘acidic’ at a pH of 3.8. Together with Hyaluronic Acid and Antioxidants, this product can be used safely to reset the skin for a better texture, or for use post-laser/IPL procedures as the skin will be quite dry.
For the very sensitive skin, it is best to use it 1 week before any laser procedure for a few days to look for any side effect first. Also it is best to use Sunscreens in daytime when using any form of fruit acids. |
