Do not dap or pat the silicone.
The correct amount is required as too much will cause bulging while too little will not fill up the scar completely. If in doubt, use less rather than more. You have to work quickly as Dermaflage Silicone dries in 2 to 5 minutes depending on room temperature. |
Note: |
|
To prolong the time for Dermaflage silicone to set, refrigeration to lower the temperature can be done. The time of refrigeration depends very much on the original room temperature and the temperature inside the fridge where you are going to put the Silicone, where there will be a temperature difference between different fridges, as well as temperature difference between the door of the fridge and deep inside the fridge. The refrigeration time can range from few minutes in cold areas to an hour in tropical countries. Prolong refrigeration may destroy the Silicone material.
Please note that a longer hardening time will also means a longer procedure time. |
|
The two Silicone must be thoroughly mixed for the setting reaction to occur, thus the mixing tip is advised. Mixing by hand is not recommended unless after a while you are very skilled in its use as well as refrigeration has been done beforehand. Mixing by hand can also be considered if you have a very small area to cover. |

If in doubt, see if the Silicone on the mixing tip has dried before you remove the texture pad. That way you will know the Silicone on your skin has dried. |
To not remove the pad before it dries (no peeking!) |
